Kiwi Offers Physical Therapy Services in Medford
New Zealand Native Now Providing Care at Medford Therapy & Fitness
(Medford) Physical Therapist and New Zealand native Christian Dawson recently joined the staff of Medford Therapy & Fitness, an entity of Memorial Health Center, an Aspirus partner. An expert in physical therapy techniques originating in New Zealand that are in demand throughout the world, he specializes in orthopaedic and sports injury rehabilitation, manual therapy, and more.
Dawson says the thing he likes most about being a physical therapist is the people he meets. He chose to establish his physical therapy practice at Medford Therapy & Fitness because he feels Medford will be a friendly place to live, work, and raise a family.
“I am excited about the opportunity to engage and interact with the community at Memorial Health Center and look forward to providing the people of this area with quality care,” Dawson says.
A physical therapist since 2009, Dawson has also been a sports paramedic for the last 10 years. He counts working as a sports paramedic with the world champion New Zealand All Blacks national rugby team and the Otago Highlanders (professional rugby team) as career highlights.
He earned his Bachelor of Physical Education degree in 2002 from Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and his Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand.
An enthusiastic person who loves a good laugh, Dawson enjoys sports and the outdoors. He loves mountain biking, rock climbing, and tramping (otherwise known as hiking). He and his wife have a young daughter and a baby on the way.
