Advanced Certification for Respiratory Therapist

Advanced Certification for Respiratory Therapist

(Medford) Ann Dauffenbach, a respiratory therapist at Memorial Health Center, recently earned the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential. She is now nationally recognized as providing the highest quality of respiratory care to patients.

Her certification also indicates that she possesses advanced skills and expertise beyond that required for licensure as a respiratory therapist.

Respiratory therapists evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing disorders and other disorders of the heart and lungs.

Dauffenbach earned her RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc. (NBRC), which was created in 1960 to evaluate the professional competence of respiratory therapists. The NBRC’s RRT credential is considered the “standard of excellence” in respiratory care.
