


Memorial Health Center is a 25-bed, not-for-profit, primary care hospital and clinic organization. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission of the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and as of June, 2002, has been designated a Critical Access Hospital. Included on the hospital campus is Memorial Nursing & Rehab Center, an attached 101-bed skilled nursing facility; Country Gardens, a 28-unit Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC); Cedar Court Apartments, a 24-unit senior low income housing complex; Memorial Health Center Pharmacy, and Medford Clinic which includes satellite locations in Gilman, Prentice and Rib Lake. Aspirus (Wausau, Wisconsin) is Memorial Health Center's financial and strategic partner. Our almost 500 employees take pride in providing personalized, high quality primary care services for all stages of life, for all members of your family.
Memorial Health Center was built in 1961 with a Hill-Burton federal grant and a large community fundraising effort. In total, Memorial Health Center was constructed at a cost of around $780,000 and the doors first opened to patients on March 14, 1962.
Today, Memorial Health Center serves patients predominantly from Taylor and southern Price Counties. Our medical staff includes over 40 primary care physicians and physician specialists. The majority of our physician specialists are practitioners from the Aspirus system and the Wausau medical community.
